Old Blood Noise aims for the unconventional and delivers with the Dark Star. Using a warm and haunting reverb as its starting point, the circuit then takes it through three different modes to create unique celestial soundscapes. Pitch mode adds an octave up and down, whilst Delay mode adds a delay line to the reverb. Crush mode gives you octave control and a bit crush that can move heaven and earth. Each mode gives new function to the CTRL 1 and CTRL 2 knobs, offering up endless tweakability. A hold footswitch lets you grab a note and hold it for as long as you want while playing over top of it. Version 2 of Dark Star adds an expression input that can control any of the pedal's controls (selectable via internap dip switches).
