Orange Terror Series Buying GuideDeceptively huge tone!
As the original "lunchbox" amplifier, the Orange Tiny Terror had a profound effect on how players felt about smaller, low-wattage amplifiers. PA systems have evolved so much since the days of huge amp stacks, guitarists no longer needed to carry power-hungry -- and extremely heavy -- stacks in order to be heard. These low-wattage amps could be cranked for some seriously beautiful overdrive without blowing everyone's ears out, and their small size and weight made them easy to take on the road.
The Orange Terror series of amplifiers continues to turn heads with their incredible tone and modest size. Perfect for use in the studio, with enough power to hold their own on stage, Terror series amps are a great addition to any guitarist's amp collection. As the name "Dual" implies, this footswitchable head features two distinct channels: the Tiny Terror channel, which mirrors the original Tiny Terror sound; and the rounder-sounding Fat channel, which is perfect for big, warm leads.

Orange Dark Terror Guitar Amplifier Head
Perfect for players that need a little more dirt with a darker voicing, the Dark Terror's 15 watts of all-tube tone can go from delicately clean to full-on metal machine with a twist of the gain knob. Switching to half power will get you all those wonderfully saturated tones without all the volume. The single Shape control stands in as this amp's EQ, making it impressively easy to dial in the exact tone you want. The tube-driven effects loop also adds a professional touch to an already incredible, and wonderfully priced, amp.

Orange Signature #4 Jim Root Terror Guitar Amplifier Head
As an artist-signature Terror Series amp, the #4 Jim Root Terror has a huge sound to live up to, and delivers in spades. Inspired by the Slipknot guitarist's Rockerverb 100, the #4 features a full three-band EQ section to carve out heavy tones. While the 4-stage, high-gain preamp is well suited to metal and heavy rock, the broad spectrum of the Gain control lets you clean it up for sweeter tones. With Root's signature and a vintage Orange logo, this little amp screams to be both seen and heard.
- 15 watts, switchable down to 7 watts
- 2 x EL84 power amp tubes
- 3 x 12AX7 preamp tubes; 1 x 12AT7 effects loop tube
- Volume, treble, middle, bass and gain controls

Orange MT20 Micro Terror Mini Guitar Amplifier Head
Although the Micro Terror amp is even smaller than the original Tiny Terror, it's actually more powerful -- cranking out 20 blistering watts from a solid-state power amp. The signature Orange overdrive is still present, thanks to a tube-driven preamp section and the deceptively powerful Tone control. Even though the Micro Terror is perfectly complemented by the 1x8" PPC108 speaker cab, feel free to plug it into a full 4x12"for larger-than-life tone.
- 20-watt solid-state power amp
- 12AX7 preamp tube
- Volume, tone, and gain controls
